The Don Featherstone Film Collection Bequest

Heritage Building Society has been closely associated with the history of the Darling Downs through a century of service to the community in which we originated. We are privileged that the Don Featherstone Film Collection was bequeathed to Heritage Building Society by Don, a long time member of the Society himself. His desire when making the bequest, was that the films be retained in safe keeping and made available to all. We are proud to have realised his request.

Knowing that the collection is probably one of the finest in Australia, and certainly some of the footage unique, Heritage is offering some of these film archives as sample viewable movies. Through this web site we hope to bring this unique and prestigious film collection to the attention of all Australians and in doing so add to the awareness of our country's heritage and provide a fitting memorial to the remarkable Don Featherstone (1902 - 1984).
